On Tuesday, November 7th, in the Merapi Room of the Laras
Asri Hotel in Salatiga Municipality, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Salatiga
Municipality conducted a Sectoral Statistical Development session for all City
Government Agencies (OPD) in Salatiga. This event was organized by the
Department of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo) of Salatiga
Municipality. The event was attended by the Acting Mayor, the Head of
Diskominfo and their team, a team from BPS Salatiga, the heads of OPD in Salatiga
Municipality, and various invited guests.
During this event, the topics presented by the Young
Statistician from BPS Salatiga Municipality included the concept and strategic
data of Salatiga Municipality, such as poverty, unemployment, Human Development
Index (HDI), and economic growth. Other topics covered the 'Direction of the
Salatiga One Data Policy' by the Acting Mayor of Salatiga, followed by the
presentation of 'Data Management and Action Plan for the Implementation of
Salatiga One Data in 2024' by the Head of the Regional Development Planning
Agency (Bappeda). There was also a presentation on the 'Evaluation and Review
of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics' by the Head of the Department of
Communication and Informatics, and a discussion on the Validation of Data List
Proposals for the year 2024.
The One Data policy is a government data governance
initiative aimed at creating high-quality, easily accessible data that can be
shared between government agencies to enhance the quality of city planning,
implementation, evaluation, and control for more precise and beneficial urban
development.
