SALATIGA – BPS City of
Salatiga on Thursday, April 27, 2023 held a Socialization of the 2023
Agricultural Census in the Merapi Room of the Laras Asri Hotel. This event was
attended by all divisions in the Department of Agriculture, Mantri Tani, Camat
and several companies engaged in agriculture and other farming businesses in
the City of Salatiga. The socialization material was delivered by the Head of
the Salatiga City BPS, Satriono moderated by the Head of the Food and
Agriculture Service, Henni Mulyani. This event was also attended by the Acting
Mayor of Salatiga, Sinoeng Nugroho Rachmadi as the Keynote Speaker.
In this event the PJ Mayor
conveyed to all the invitees who took part in this socialization to provide
support for the implementation of ST2023, among others, by disseminating
information about the implementation of ST2023 and providing understanding to the
public so that they receive the census officers properly and provide
information according to actual conditions.
The 2023 Agricultural Census
in Indonesia is the 7th census since it was first carried out in 1963. The
census, which will be carried out from June to July 2023, targets respondents
related to agriculture, namely Individual Agricultural Businesses (UTP),
Businesses of Legal Entity Agricultural Companies (UPB), and Other Agricultural
Businesses (UTL).
The objectives of the
Agricultural Census are among others to provide data on the structure of
agriculture, especially for the smallest administrative units, to provide data
against which current agricultural statistics are measured, and to provide a
sample frame for follow-up agricultural surveys.
