The
National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of the most important sources of
employment data in Indonesia. The Sakernas data is widely used by various
groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the continuity, availability, and
quality of Sakernas data must be maintained and improved.
The
Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Salatiga City, starting on August 16, 2021,
through field officers will conduct door to door data collection in the sample
households, and will end on September 8, 2021. All BPS officers are equipped
with a Letter of Assignment and PPE as an effort to always maintain strict
health protocols, to protect officers and respondents.
In
addition to providing continuous basic employment data, in particular for the
estimation of data on the number of working population and unemployment, other
employment indicators, as well as developments at the national, provincial, and
district/city levels. This survey also collected information related to the
impact of Covid-19 on employment. All of these are based on ILO
recommendations.
It
is hoped that all levels of Salatiga City society will receive visits and give
good answers to BPS officers in realizing quality statistical data for Advanced
Indonesia.
