Initial Coordination of the Implementation of "Pojok Statistik" on UIN Salatiga

In an effort to strengthen literacy in statistics and provide new enthusiasm for students, BPS Salatiga City together with UIN Salatiga plans to organize Statistics Corner activities. Monday, January 15, BPS Salatiga City received a visit from the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN and TIM in the context of initial coordination for the formation of the "Statistics Corner".

The meeting aimed to coordinate the formation of a Statistics Corner at UIN Salatiga. This idea exists because of awareness of the importance of statistics among students, especially at FEBI UIN Salatiga which currently does not have a statistics department. The Statistics Corner plays a role in strengthening the National Statistics System (SSN) as a medium for promoting statistics, increasing awareness of statistics, increasing the use of statistical data, and bringing statistical services closer to universities.

This initial coordination emphasizes the needs needed to form a Statistics Corner in terms of space requirements, human resources, supporting facilities and content that will later fill the Statistics Corner. It is hoped that with the involvement of BPS and academics and students, it can increase the use and literacy of statistics to a greater extent.
