Economic Census is a mandate of Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics that must be implemented by the Central Bureau of Statistics. The Economic Census carried out in 2016 is the fourth Economic Census activity. The 2016 Economic Census Activity (SE2016) is implemented gradually, starting from the planning and preparation activities in 2014, to the presentation and dissemination of results in 2018. In 2016 the Economic Census Listing has been conducted and by 2017 SE2016 activities have continued Data collection activities of Small and Micro Enterprises (SME/UMK) and Large and Medium Enterprises (LME/UMB).
UMK and UMB Data Collection Activities 2017 is expected to produce detailed data of business / companies Micro, Small, Medium and Large as a basis for the formulation of various policies and analysis on macro and micro. In addition, the results of data collection of UMK and UMB in 2017 is also used as benchmarking and database for various surveys continued in the economic field.
Data of UMK in Salatiga City is done to the selected sample, while UMB data collection is done by census except for trade category done by sample. For sample of UMK in Salatiga City 2,530 effort / company and UMB 396 business / company. The implementation of data collection of UMK and UMB in 2017 involves 71 officers consisting of 18 Supervisory Officers (PMS) and 53 Samples Enumerators (PCS) who are mostly Statistic Officers.
The implementation of this activity is scheduled for two months ie August and September 2017. Various support has been obtained by the Central Statistics Agency of Salatiga City, among others from Salatiga City Government, Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), Salatiga Association of Construction Entrepreneurs (Gapensi) Salatiga and support from the level Provincial and national levels.
Prior to carrying out the data collection tasks, the officers were trained in TC Hotel Setos Semarang for 5 days in July 2017. The purpose of the training is to ensure that the Advanced SE2016 Officer can understand and master the material about the Advanced SE2016 and questions in the questionnaire as well as the tasks that must be carried out in the field .
