BPS Salatiga City again conducted
the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas). Susenas is an important source of
household socioeconomic data in Indonesia. This survey is designed to collect
data on the social and economic conditions of the Household which includes
Demographic Information, Education, Health Complaints, Outpatient and Inpatient
Information, Social Protection Information etc. Susenas is held twice a year,
namely in March and in September.
In March 2022, Susenas data
collection was carried out using the KOR Questionnaire and the
Consumption/Expenditure Module. For 2022 there is an additional questionnaire,
namely the March 2022 Susenas Supplement. The Susenas Questionnaire is to
obtain information related to social protection programs and the impact of the
pandemic on household socioeconomic conditions.
Susenas is one of the main
surveys that produces data needed by the Government to implement national
development so that it is in line with the 2020-2024 TPB/SDGs RPJMN.
Prior to field implementation,
staff training was conducted. The March 2022 Susenas officer training was
carried out offline in two batches which took place at the Grand Wahid Hotel.
The first batch on 17-18 March 2022 was attended by 8 BPS organic participants
as Field Supervisors (PML) and 14 partners as Field Enumerators (PCL). Phase II
on 21-22 March 2022 which was attended by 5 BPS organic participants as PML and
16 partner participants as PCL.
The implementation of the Susenas
field activities is carried out in 2 (two) stages, namely updating and
enumeration. Household updating was carried out in the Census Block (BS) of the
Susenas sample on March 6-13, 2022 on a door-to-door basis. Furthermore, the
Household Sample Enumeration will be carried out starting March 14 – April 2
2022. In the household sample enumeration, there are additional stages of
activities that must be carried out by PCL, namely geotagging the four points
of the respondent's residence using the Wilkerstat application. The locations
tagged are the front view of the building, the widest floor, the widest ceiling
and the latrine/toilet.
In this activity, BPS Salatiga
City will collect data on 570 sample households spread across four
sub-districts. Given the importance of this Susenas data, it is hoped that the
assistance and participation of the community so that all officers can take a
good picture of the field conditions so that accurate and quality data is
obtained.
