BPS Salatiga Municipality Holds Training for the 2026 Corn Conversion Survey (SKGB)

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Salatiga Municipality conducted a two-day training session for the Corn Conversion Survey (SKGB) from September 23 to 24, 2026. This initiative aims to enhance the accuracy of agricultural sector data, specifically regarding the corn commodity.

The training was attended by BPS Salatiga partners serving as field enumerators, as well as BPS Salatiga staff acting as supervisors. The program was designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the methodology, measurement procedures, and standardized protocols for completing the survey questionnaires.

Through this training, participants were equipped with technical knowledge regarding the calculation of corn conversion figures—specifically, the transition from wet weight to dry weight (ready for consumption or animal feed). Strict supervision by BPS staff was also established to ensure the resulting data is accurate, reliable, and accountable.

With the completion of this training, BPS Salatiga expects all enumerators and supervisors to be fully prepared to carry out their field duties optimally, thereby supporting the availability of high-quality national food data.
