The National
Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) becomes the basis for meeting the government's
needs in implementing national development so that it is in line with the
international development goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Susenas is collected by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to provide a
portrait of development progress. The portrait must be accurate and can be
trusted by the public at large. The March 2021 Susenas is one of the BPS
routine surveys that provides development data in the socio-economic sector at
the national, provincial and district / city levels.
Susenas March 2021
is one of the important sources of socio-economic data on households in
Indonesia. The data generated by this survey has been widely used by various
groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the sustainability, availability
and quality of Susenas data must be maintained and improved. In March 2021,
Susenas data collection was carried out using the KOR and Consumption /
Expenditure Questionnaires. In Susenas March 2021, the questionnaire was
re-completed and added several questions.
The implementation
of Susenas March 2021 includes various activities carried out at the central
and regional levels. The activities and schedule for the implementation of
Susenas in the City of Salatiga are the preparation stage, the implementation
stage, and the processing stage. Activities that have been carried out are the
preparatory stage, namely independent learning and training by National
Instructors (Innas) and Field Officers. Innas has conducted independent
learning from 20 to 23 and 25 January 2021. Meanwhile, the training starts on
26 s.d. 28 January 2021.
Business process
adjustments are still being applied to Susenas March 2021 to anticipate
Covid-19, which is still ongoing in February 2021 in the City of Salatiga. The
preparatory stage that has been carried out at BPS Salatiga City begins with
Field Officer Training through zoom meeting training. For field officers, two
waves were carried out, namely the first wave of independent learning from 14
to 14 February 16, 2021, training starts on 17 s.d. February 19, 2021, followed
by 15 field enumerators and 7 field supervisory officers. While the second wave
of independent learning from 19 s.d. February 21, 2021, training starts on 22
s.d. 24 February 2021, followed by 14 field enumerators and 8 field
supervisors.
Furthermore, the
implementation phase is scheduled for one month in March 2021 starting from the
household registration stage in 57 samples of the Census Block by door to door.
The enumerator visits each household in a census block to record the name of
the head of the household (KRT), address, education, number of household
members (ART) and the whereabouts of toddlers and pregnant women in the
household. During the enumeration of sample households by direct interviews
(face-to-face interviews), starting from March 10 to March 31, 2021 by
implementing health protocols, namely physical distancing and the use of
personal protective equipment (masks and antiseptic / hand sanitizers). This
stage ends with the monitoring of enumeration using the website until March 31,
2021. For the processing stages starting from receiving, batching, editing, and
coding from March 15, 2021 to April 14, 2021, the evaluation of data quality at
the BPS level of Salatiga City is at least 70 percent of the data collected.
