FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION (FGD) FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2023 REGIONAL BALANCE SHEET IN SALATIGA

SALATIGA - On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Statistics Indonesia of Salatiga Municipality (BPS) organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) for the Preparation of the 2023 Regional Balance Sheet in the Merapi Room of the Laras Asri Hotel in Salatiga. The event was attended by data producers from both the City Department and businesses/companies in Salatiga. In his Welcome Speech, the Head of Salatiga City BPS, Satriono, emphasized the role of BPS as a sectoral statistics regulator and the importance of data formulation as the basis for government policies. He also discussed the macro poverty indicators for the year 2023 and informed the local government that the data from the 2022 Socioeconomic Survey (Regsosek) could now be utilized by the local government by directly requesting micro-level data from the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas). During the event, the Head of Salatiga City BPS presented the Official Statistical News on Macro Poverty Indicators for 2023 to the Acting Mayor of Salatiga. He expressed gratitude to the relevant stakeholders who had provided data, which would be used as the basis for calculating Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), particularly for quarterly GRDP.

 

The Acting Mayor of Salatiga, Sinoeng Nugroho Rachmadi, delivered the Keynote Speech and discussed several points. Among them was the fact that Salatiga is currently moving towards a unified data system, emphasizing the importance of rapidly generated data. He expressed appreciation and gratitude to small and medium-sized enterprises (UMKM) for their willingness to participate as respondents for BPS.

 

The event also included a presentation on the support of the local government for Salatiga City BPS in fulfilling its role as a provider of high-quality statistical data for the advancement of Indonesia, presented by Assistant II for Economic Development of Salatiga City (BPH. Pramusinta)
