Abstract
n October 2021, Jawa Tengah experienced inflation of 0.25 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.26. Of the six CPI cities in Jawa Tengah, all cities experienced inflation.
The main cause of inflation in Central Java in October 2021 is the increase in prices for red chili, cooking oil, air transportation, cayenne pepper, and filtered kretek cigarettes. The main driver of inflation in Central Java is the decline in the prices of broiler eggs, tomatoes, cars, gold jewelry, and bricks.
The inflation rate for the calendar year October 2021 is 0.71 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (October 2021 to October 2020) is 1.35 percent.
