The
Salatiga Statistics Agency (BPS) is conducting training for field officers
for the September National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Third
Quarter Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) of 2026. These surveys aim
to generate comprehensive information that serves as a primary basis for
calculating the poverty line and various socio-economic indicators. The
resulting data forms a crucial foundation for formulating national and regional
development policies that are equitable, inclusive, and sustainable.
The
training is being conducted in stages, beginning on August 24, 2026, via a
Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) method, followed by online training sessions
via Zoom on August 25–26, 2026, and concluding with in-person (offline) sessions
on Thursday and Friday, August 27–28, 2026, at the Grand Wahid Hotel Salatiga.
The personnel involved consist of 13 Field Enumerators (PPL) and 7 permanent
BPS Salatiga staff members serving as Supervisors. The training is led by
Philipus Kristanto, SST, M.Si, acting as the National Instructor.
Through
this training, officers are expected to gain a thorough understanding of every
stage of data collection and be prepared to handle various situations
encountered in the field. Discussions, simulations, and practical exercises are
integral parts of the program, ensuring that all officers share a unified
understanding and are capable of producing high-quality data.
