The National Economic Survey (Susenas) is an important source of household socioeconomic data for the government to implement national development in line with the 2020-2024 Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) and the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs). Susenas is collected by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for a portrait of the progress of social and economic development in the community.
In September, BPS again conducted the Susenas for the Socio-Cultural and Educational Module (MSBP). The questionnaires used were the Susenas MSBP 2021 questionnaire and the Susenas Questionnaire for the Consumption/Expenditure Module. The Susenas MSBP 2021 questionnaire covers various indicators related to socio-culture including indicators of social welfare (human needs, neglect); public appreciation and participation of the Object for the Advancement of Culture (OPK); media access (television, radio, mass media, and internet); community participation in sports activities; public interest in reading; the Indonesian movement to serve, be clean, orderly, independent, and united; actualization of Pancasila values, and educational supporting indicators including educational facilities and infrastructure; activities outside of school hours; learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the Consumption/Expenditure Module Questionnaire is a source of data for two of the four national development targets, namely the calculation of the poverty level and the Gini index. The 2021 MSBP Susenas enumeration will produce representative data at the national level up to the provincial level
On September 3 - 10, 2021, 3 staff of BPS Salatiga City and 6 partners have completed the MSBP 2021 Susenas Officer Training organized by BPS Central Java Province online. The training is divided into 2 stages, namely the independent learning stage through elearning.bps.go.id from 3 - 5 September 2021 and learning through a zoom meeting from 7-10 September 2021. By attending this training, it is hoped that officers understand the concept well and are able to carry out their duties properly and according to SOPs so that the resulting data is accurate and can be trusted by the public at large.
For the households selected as a response, it is hoped that they will receive the arrival of officers well and answer honestly while still complying with health protocols.
