THE EMPLOYEE OF BPS-STATISTICS OF SALATIGA MUNICIPALITY TAKE CARE OF COVID19 VACCINATION 3 (BOOSTER)

Omicron Covid-19 cases in Indonesia are increasing. People who have been fully vaccinated and have been vaccinated for more than 6 months are encouraged to do a third booster vaccine. This is due to a decrease in antibodies 6 months after the first or second dose of vaccine. So after 6 months it is necessary to give a booster vaccine. On Friday, January 21, 2022, all employees of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Salatiga City along with Non-State Civil Service Government Employees (PPNPN) who have received the third vaccine ticket, took 3 doses of Covid 19 Vaccination (booster). The booster vaccine used is the Moderna vaccine. The implementation of the 3rd dose of vaccination was carried out at the Bung Karno Hall in the DPRD Complex at Jalan Let Jen Sukowati 51 Salatiga. The booster vaccination was carried out simultaneously with ASN participants from the city of Salatiga. The stages and requirements for the implementation of dose 3 vaccine are also no different from the first and second stages, namely administrative verification, health screening, and vaccine injection. After getting vaccinated, employees have to wait for 30 minutes to see the side effects of this 3rd dose of vaccination. By carrying out the 3rd dose of covid 19 vaccination, it is hoped that it can improve the effectiveness of the vaccine which has decreased and increase the immunity of the Salatiga City BPS staff. So that it can prevent the transmission of Covid 19, especially the Omicron Variant which has recently been increasing. Considering that the Central Bureau of Statistics of the City of Salatiga is an institution that carries out service activities that are in direct contact with the community so that it is quite vulnerable to being affected by Covid 19. For maximum prevention, employees also continue to carry out health protocols by implementing 5M, namely wearing masks, maintaining distance, washing hands with soap, staying away from crowds, and limiting mobility.
