Pre-Updating Census Block Listing Activities SP2020-LF

This October, BPS Salatiga City carried out the Pre-Updating Long Form SP2020 activity. This activity is still a continuation of the 2020 Population Census which was held last September 2020. The Population Census is a national activity carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) based on the mandate of Law Number 16 of 1997 concerning Statistics. The Population Census is also in line with the UN recommendation that each country must update population data periodically. The 2020 Population Census (SP2020) activity aims to obtain very strategic and up-to-date population data including the number, composition, distribution and characteristics of the Indonesian population in order to achieve "ONE INDONESIAN POPULATION DATA".

The objectives of the Pre-Updating Long Form SP2020 activity are: (1) Updating the list of families/households based on the results of SP2020 using the CAPI application, (2) Updating building points in the CAPI application, (3) As a description of cases in the field so that more mature planning can be done for SP2020 long form activities next year.

In carrying out this activity, BPS Salatiga City applies the health protocols (prokes) that have been set. All of the Census officers who went into the field had carried out the COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test with non-reactive results, so the public did not need to worry.
