OFFICERS TRAINING OF INTER-CENSUS POPULATION SURVEY (SUPAS) 2025

OFFICERS TRAINING OF INTER-CENSUS POPULATION SURVEY (SUPAS) 2025

June 4, 2025 | BPS Activities

The Inter-census Population Survey (SUPAS) is a population survey conducted between two population census periods, with the aim of estimating the population and demographic indicators. This survey is conducted every ten years. The objective of SUPAS 2025 is to produce the latest population parameters as material for planning and evaluating development and preparing for the implementation of SP2030 which utilizes registration data. Starting in 2025, SUPAS data collection will be carried out using the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mode, namely with the FASIH application, except for some areas in Papua Province which still use the Paper and Pencils Interviewing (PAPI) mode.

BPS-Statistics Salatiga Municipality held a training activity for Inter-census Population Survey (SUPAS) 2025 officers which was carried out in a hybrid manner, namely a combination of online and offline. Independent Learning/MOOC was held on May 26-28, 2025, then Online Distance Learning was held on June 2-3, 2025. Then on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Face-to-Face Learning was held offline at the Grand Wahid Hotel Salatiga. This activity was attended by 24 participants consisting of 19 field enumerators (PCL) and 5 field supervisors (PML). The training was guided by Philipus Kristanto, S.ST, M.Si as the teacher.

This training aims to equip officers with knowledge and technical skills in data collection, including an understanding of survey instruments, the use of digital technology such as CAPI in the form of the FASIH application, and ethics when interacting with respondents. The training material also includes field simulations so that officers are able to understand the dynamics that will be faced during the interview process. It is hoped that through this training, officers will be able to carry out their duties optimally, accurately, and reliably, so that the data obtained can be the basis for making government policies that have a direct impact on community welfare.
