Submission of Poverty Data March 2024

On August 26 2024, BPS Salatiga City submitted March 2024 Poverty Data to Acting. Mayor of Salatiga. The number of poor people in March 2024 was 9.33 thousand people, a decrease of 0.08 thousand people compared to March 2023. Poverty in Salatiga City in the last three years has decreased compared to conditions before the Covid-19 pandemic. The percentage of poor people in March 2024 in Salatiga City fell 0.09 points, to 4.57 percent compared to March 2023. When compared with districts/cities in Central Java, Salatiga City has the 2nd (second) lowest percentage of poor people after Semarang City.

Acting (Pj) Mayor of Salatiga Yasip Khasani received an audience with BPS Salatiga City in the Mayor's Office, Monday (26/08/2024). On this occasion, Yasip said that data availability in Salatiga City is very important. One of the important roles of BPS is to provide or photograph data in the community, so that the data can be used by OPD/other parties in looking for data references.

Yasip also supports data openness in Salatiga City. The collaboration that has been carried out with the Salatiga City Communications Department and BPS in providing data is an important note to support and encourage development and services to the community.

"I still support the existence of one data in Salatiga City. This could be a data reference. "The data I ask for is from BPS, there is no other data, so that there is no confusion in the data and it is not confusing. Hopefully it can be useful and helpful in the future," said Yasip.
